The best time to start is when the asphalt is new. Though best practice is to begin at least in it’s first year.
It’s designed to last for many years if it is applied properly. However, it will vary greatly depending on traffic and weather conditions. It can vary from a couple years to upwards of six to eight years.
In Utah, the best time generally is from mid April through mid October. Conditions must be dry and warm, with at least 45 degrees at night to at least 70 degrees in the day time.
